Plain language, because a page nobody can read is the same problem this service exists to solve, wearing our name.
What we do
We help you find a Government of Canada form and fill it in with answers you give us. Searching is free. Downloading a blank form is free. You pay when you want a completed form to download.
What we are not
Formulai is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Canada.
We do not give immigration, legal, tax or financial advice. We do not tell you whether you qualify for anything, which programme to apply to, or what to write. We are not your representative and we do not deal with any government department on your behalf. If you need advice, speak to a lawyer, a licensed immigration consultant, or an accountant.
We do not submit anything for you. Filing your form is yours to do.
What you are responsible for
The answers are yours. We write down what you tell us; we do not verify it and we cannot know whether it is right.
Check your form before you file it. We show you the completed document before you pay, precisely so you can. Government departments reject applications for small errors, and only you know whether your name is spelled the way your documents spell it.
What we try to get right, and what we do not promise
We keep the forms current and stop offering one for filling as soon as we see the government has changed it. We fill fields by the names the document declares, and where we cannot place an answer with confidence we leave the box empty and say so rather than guess.
Even so, we do not promise the corpus is complete, that a form is the right one for your situation, or that a filled form will be accepted. Those depend on facts we do not have.
Refunds
If you want your money back, ask and we will give it to you. You do not have to explain why, and there is no time limit.
We would rather refund somebody who is unhappy than argue about a few dollars. You also see the completed document before you pay, so you should rarely need this at all.
What we cannot do is undo a form you have already filed with a government department. That is between you and them.
Limits
We provide the service as it is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us for the form in question — which, since we refund on request, you can have back at any time.
Nothing here removes rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
The forms themselves
The forms are published by the Government of Canada and remain theirs. We do not claim ownership of them. Everything else on this site — the service, the software, the wording of these pages — is ours.
Changing these terms
If we change them, the date at the top changes. Continuing to use the service means the new terms apply.
Where this applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and of Canada.
